About me

As of 2025 I'm doing my Phd in Classical Studies. My thesis is on "Ways of contact with the Intelligible/Divine in the Neoplatonic and Christian philosophies from the 3rd to the 6th centuries A.D.", long-windedly.

I'm from Mafra, but I presently live in Lisbon. I was born in 1995.

I'm interested in a lot of stuff, and I made this blog as a way to write about some of that stuff. I have no social media, but I like the idea of sharing some thoughts. I don't really mind if no one reads this, it helps me think more intentionally about things that I care about.

My main hobby is reading, see my books read list. But I'm also big on outdoor activities. I do a lot of hiking, and mountain biking. I also go on motorcycle trips occasionally.

I also study a lot of languages. I speak natively Portuguese, and fluently English and Italian. I can speak French and Spanish, and I'm currently studying Modern Greek and Japanese. I also know Latin and Ancient Greek, and often translate things into Portuguese. My translation of Longus' Daphnis and Chloe will be published soon.
